My project for this summer is to pay homage to an artist and I have selected renowned fashion photographer Annie Liebovitz. In this shoot with my new camera I decided to go for it in terms of creativity and imagination by capturing a dark doll-like beauty inspired by the work of Liebovitz. The first image is a colorful close-up which truly captures the eye for its creepy and alluring beauty, also my model Ami is perfect for this creative shoot for her naturally pretty and doll-like features which translate well on camera.
The next image has an equally quirky and haunting feel,
however it is more striking for the use of glass and water, which powerfully
contrasts with the bright colours. Also, the model is behind the glass which
creates a sense of captivity and disturbia used to further grab the attention
of the viewer.
The position of the model combined with the off-centred framing create this truly captivating photograph. The image exudes vintage styles of fashion photography which perfectly convey the inspiration of Annie Liebovitz. Also, the use of props through the old fashioned tea cup create something spooky and eerie which adds to the overall effect of this doll-like high fashion photograph.
The final image follows the recurring theme in my posts where I've saved the best photograph till last and this is without doubt the most unique and captivating of my selected images. The off-centred and extreme close-up of the model combined with the contrast between darkness and light creates a mysterious feel, while the neon pink finger prints add an eye-catching vibrance to the image.
